Bloganuary Day #11 Prompt: “What does it mean to live boldly?”

I think of when you put words in bold. It’s to emphasize them, pronounce them, make them stand out. Same goes for when you live your life boldly. Unapologetic. Unabashedly. Proud. Loud. You do what you want because it’s what you want to do, no other reason. You don’t care what others think, say or post on InstaFace-ter. You march hard to the beat of your own loud ass drum. We all want to live boldly, just like we all want to achieve actualization, but honestly: I think boldly lived lives are truly rare. There’s always the nagging voice in our head “Eh… crop top? Eh… axe throwing? Eh… axe throwing in a crop top?” Then, if we do throw axes in crop tops, it’s FOR attention. Not just because we want to but because we expect an outcome. Shock, outrage, admiration, whatever. We can’t avoid it. We crave social approval because the tribe’s acceptance keeps us alive. Fall in line … at Forever 21 with your Def Leppard shirt even though you didn’t know the drummer of Def Leppard only has one arm. Now Rick lives his life boldly.

  1. Just like the first of your responses that I read, this one certainly has you standing out boldly from the crowd who wrote such predictable responses. Nothing predictable about you, {{{MamaA!}}}. “You march hard to the beat of your own loud ass drum.” Yup!! ❤
